Divorce Support

Despite a couple’s best efforts separation and/or divorce can become what makes the most sense for all involved. I work with individuals, couples and families who need support during this stressful and often traumatic time. My focus is to help in the following ways:

  • Facilitate an amicable divorce
  • Process what is happening with the individual, couple and/or family members emotionally
  • Improve communication and reduce conflict, tension and friction
  • Reduce reactivity, arguments and fighting
  • Help establish a “new normal” what does life look like now and in the future
  • Hold the children’s best interest as a priority
  • Support healthy co-parenting
  • Negotiate visitation schedules between the parents
  • Facilitate acceptance of court ordered custody schedules
  • Interface with attorneys and mediators as necessary
  • Process all the feelings associated with divorce; hurt, pain, betrayal, shock, anger, shame, sense of failure
